Our story

Started without seeing the staircase

In June 2016, after years of volunteering with other projects, Anthony Capra decided he could still do more and started something of his own.

From one email to the Andes

14All41 (One 4 All, All 4 One) became an official 501(c)(3) in 2016. Anthony had little idea how a non-profit worked, so the day the approval call came he emailed more than two hundred charities asking to learn from them. Five replied. Four were robots. The fifth was Jim Killon of Changes for New Hope in Huaraz, Peru, who invited him to come help the children of the Andes.

Two weeks of collecting donations, a six-hour flight and an eight-hour bus ride later, Anthony spent five days travelling with Jim from the highest mountains to the lowest valleys, visiting families and watching how the work was really done.

"The trip to Peru taught me so much. It was phenomenal and solidified my purpose and passion in life."

Haiti, and a house full of donations

Not long after, a hurricane devastated Haiti. Anthony started accepting donations of any kind, and within a month his home was full and nobody could tell him where a shipment would actually end up. A chance meeting with an old acquaintance led him to Pastor Enoch Deroseney of the Good Samaritan Project in Grand Goâve, who helped get every donation where it needed to go. Anthony flew to Haiti with him and handed them out himself.

What we believe

Our goal is to build the broken from the inside out: to help those in need, whether with haircuts, clothes or other necessities, and to build the self-esteem that lets a person become the best version of themselves. By helping others we let our own light shine and give others permission to do the same.

"If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards him. We need not wait to see what others do."

Mahatma Gandhi
